Thanks to everyone who contributed to our potluck last week. We had an amazing meal together.
King Soopers has started donating flowers for our altar every week. Many thanks to Sondra for making this agreement with floral manager, Melissa.
If you can volunteer to pick up and arrange the free flowers into two bouquets, sign up on the flower chart in the narthex.
Pick up flowers at King Soopers' floral department on Saturday after noon, marked “Lutheran Church of the Cross / Sondra.” Bring them Sunday and arrange them in two vases behind the altar. Please take the flowers home after service and leave borrowed vases in the pantry.
Please let Ginny know if you would like her to announce a special reason for the arrangements: 303-885-3094.
Please contact Dennis Zachman if you know of a tax advisor he can contact for consultation regarding the church's tax report filings: 303-885-3156.
Stephanie was a valued secretary for our church for many years. She supported us in our daily operations and in prayer.
Stephanie is currently working on an Anglican Studies 1-year program that requires her to live apart from her husband, cut back work to contract status, and do work-study while focusing on her studies.
Once completed, Stephanie will serve as a bivocational Episcopal priest in her home parish and five other small parishes that cannot afford a pastor.
If you would like to donate financially, please write “Stephanie Park” in the memo line of your check made out to Church of the Cross and drop it in our donation box so we can send her a check.
Visit our Church of the Cross website to view videos of our past church services. Once on the website, click “Livestream” and then “Videos” to select the video you would like to see.
Thanks to Roger for making these available each week.
She will share her recent experiences with us during coffee hour. Plan to attend.
Please help us maintain the church yard this fall. Any time you can spend at church mowing, trimming, weeding, or raking the lawn and flowerbeds would be truly appreciated.
Come alone or with some friends. Thanks to Dennis for mowing and tree trimming and anyone else who helped this past week.
Did you know that Church of the Cross has an automated external defibrillator (AED)? This device is very effective in providing lifesaving treatment to persons experiencing cardiac arrest and can be used effectively by persons with minimal training, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
If you would like to be part of a group who will be trained to use AEDs, please advise a Council member. More information about the date and time of the training will be available soon.
Whether this is your first visit or you've been with us for years, there's always something happening at Church of the Cross. Come as you are!
